Rancher Navy's response
Rancher Navy supported Search and Rescue efforts, SAR for animals and people, as directed by their SAR swift water partners.
At Corrival Ranch in Boerne, volunteers rescued 80 stranded horses: 30 pulled from flooded stalls and 50 more from another area of the property, moving them to higher ground. As the water receded, additional help arrived to load and trailer the animals to a safe evacuation point and gather donations for their care.
Volunteers used their own trailers and paid for their own gas and supplies to show up. Special thanks to E.J. Dennis, Jake Stovall, Ali OMalley, Sofie Patton, Ashley Elizabeth, Josiah McDermott, the Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department, and many more.
